Diane Delores (Lodge) Scott, 63, of Hawthorne, California passed away on May 17, 2020 in Inglewood, California.
Diane was born in Los Angeles County, California to Christopher and Lois Lodge on September 18, 1956. She received her primary education in the Santa Monica city school district. She married Gerald Scott on June 26, 2010 in Los Angeles, California. She worked as a Pre-school teacher for many years and later as an Administrative Assistant and Caregiver before becoming debilitated by numerous illnesses in 2007.
Diane was a colorful personality, smart, and had a beautiful mind. Her sister Linda referred to her as “Lady Di”. She had amazing culinary skills and delighted her family with delicious foods and desserts. Her smile, humor, and gregariousness illuminated any social setting. She lived life on her terms, overcoming many obstacles, defying the odds and later re-dedicated her life to Christ. She lives forever in our hearts.
Diane is preceded in death by her father, Christopher C. Lodge, her mother Lois W. (Lodge) Legans and her brother Alphonso R. Lodge.
Diane is survived by her spouse, Gerald Scott: her son and daughter, Adrian D. Sellers (Keneisha) and Tasha N. Collins (James Thompson): her sisters Barbara J. Lodge, Linda F. Lodge-Bickham, (Carl), Bernadette Lodge-Lemon and Rosie Lodge: her grandchildren Arielle Enriquez, Will Bloomfield, Raelynn Pollard, Austin Sellers and Trenton Sellers: her nieces and nephews, Tamiko J. Davis (Tony) Stephen C. Kendrick, Autumn T. Lemon, Leon W. Olivis Jr., Jasmine J. Olivis, Taylor W. Garcia (Angel), Colby A. Lemon, Tristen K. Joseph, Judy Lodge, Chris Lodge, Rochelle Lodge, Allen Lodge, Lamont Lodge, Norman Lodge (Karla), and Alondra Young (Walter) and a host of great nieces and nephews.
